Coventry City Football Club & the Ricoh Arena

Coventry City Club was founded in 1883 and currently play in the Coca-Cola Football League Championship.

The club was founded by Willie Stanley, an employee of cycle form Singers. The club as a result was known as Singers FC until 1898 when the name changed to Coventry City.

The club played at Highfield Road from 1899, and moved to the Ricoh Arena in 2005.The £113 million 32,000 seater stadium will hopefully help the Sky Blues get back into the Premiership.

The Ricoh Arena is one of the UK's top entertainment, sports and business venues.

It hosts numerous concerts including across 2009 - Oasis, Take That and The Specials.

Take a glimpse behind the scenes at the home of Coventry City FC. The tours consist of Stadium/Football club, including pitch, dressing rooms, media suite, and players lounge and offer a fantastic opportunity to see where the City heros prepare on a matchday. The tour will also take in the Exhibition Hall, Sponsorship/Paternship board, conference and function suites, Ambassadors suite, CCFC Executive Box (all dependant of availability) and Bistro/Hotel room & suites. Tours will begin & end at the Visitor Information Centre. Tours must be pre booked.

Tours take place every Wednesday and Friday morning. Special group tours and some Tuesday tours are available on request.
